Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall has the Brits talking about her new beauty regimen — bee venom. It's believed the wife of Prince Charles has been undergoing what they call an "organic facelift" to erase some of 63 year old wrinkles and apparently that involves a mask made of bee venom. The $85 mask "stings" the skin that stimulates the body to produce chemicals that will relax muscles and reduce wrinkles. Sounds way more affordable than going under the knife!

Have you seen her? I would not use anything she is using.

I'm just saying that one should pick and choose what treatments they are going to try based on what makes sense and who is using it. I think the only treatment that would work on Camilla is a paper bag

Bee venom would cause swelling and you'd also have to see if you are allergic to bee stings or not. The toxins in bee stings can accumulate in your body and later show a much larger allergic reaction than previous. You never know what it can do to you - 1 bee sting can kill you if you are highly sensitive.

What if these treatments cause you to have an allergic reaction to an actual bee sting later and kill you?

Bees around here are disappearing like crazy. I believe a virus is causing their demise.

I can't believe that we would be wasting their precious resource on skin care products of any kind.

It's the same in the US too.

The bees are disappearing, you'd think these precious little beings would be used for something else than someone's desire to appear what she's not. Not to mention the risk of allergy Diva mentioned.

It's not just a virus, the pesticides and environmental pollution are also very detrimental, the lack of floral diversity because of monocultures, and

they don't get along too well with the hornets.

I agree with you and Carolyn.
Plus once a bee stings you it dies. What a waste of life for a so called beauty treatment.

Ugh, I could just imagine the chaos of people getting allergic reactions from this. Haha, no offence but it really doesn't look like the bee venom method is working for her.;D
