I just read through one of them skin report things online, telling the dangers of ingredients in cosmetics and skincare products. I was browsing through and now it seems bloody mineral makeup isn't safe!!!! it said titanium dioxide and iron oxide (whice is found in most mineral makeup products) has been linked to cancer. I feel like you can't put anything on your skin!

does anyone else feel like this? x

sometimes. but then i think they work for me, and then i forget all about it.

if your really paranoid, i'd for go organic/natural stuff (which 1/2 of my skincare products consist of). they work great!

Honestly you cant get away from it. Our food our air it sucks unless you stick yourself in a bubble everything is bad. Ill still use MMU because those ingredients are found in liquid non mineral make up also.

i try not to take notice of things like this, it seems every week theres a new scare story, be it make up, food, drink etc. i think we shouldnt take these things to seriously because the levels of certain things in products are not ususally high enough to do any real damage anyhow. thats just how i feel. x

I don't worry about them too much but also try to stay away from products loaded with chemicals as much as possible. Half of my skin care are all natural and I'm pretty at ease with I'm using.

I wouldnt worry Katie - there are so many scare stories like the others have said. Apparently talc can give women ovarian cancer, pollution can cause asthma and skin infections, passive smoking can cause lung cancer etc etc etc. You'd probably have to eat the product every day for the rest of your life for it to actually have any effect on your health. I just think if it's not one thing it's another. I might as well use normal make up because everything I eat and use and breathe can apparently kill me anyway, you can't win

Yeah, I keep reading about all of that too. I don't know, maybe I'm a cynic, but I'm always rolling my eyes at it. I think microwaves are more likely to kill us off before mineral makeup does.
