Today i had a lot of problems with my makeup so i had to keep cleansing my face over and over again. As a result, it is very irritated. One side of my face looks really red. It looks like a big bruise or something because i over washed my face real hard.

Anyone can recoomend what to use? is aloe vera gel the best option? Or should i use some honey? Now i can't go out because of this.

My best advice would be to just leave it alone and let it clear up on it's own. I think you made your skin angry by washing it so many times!

It looks like acne now. It's a very big spot taht is red. I had this before last time when i scrubbed it way too much. Does anyone know how long it takes to get back to normal? I think last time for me was like a week.

i wished i learned to stop overwashing. I said it last time that if if i cant apply my makeup okay, then i will just leave it on. EVerytime i keep overwashing my face, it goes super red on the side of my face and is irritated.

When will i ever learn?

well aloe vera shoudl help because thats what it does. somone on acne.org said use vaseline. I never put vaseline on my face before. Is that a good idea? By the way, the size of the redness on my face is about the size of a quarter

oh okay. What do i type in the search function then? I type irritated skin and get like a bunch of results though very few of them relate to it.

redness? blisters ? i dunno, keep looking

my best advice would be not to touch it. i guess aloe vera could help, i've never used it before.

Maybe it is the products you are using that are causing the irritation.

The constant washing or roughness only make the irritation worse.

eh. It's been looking pink for like 3 days. Is this some sort of name for this? I also irritated the same part like 2 months ago and it took like a week to heal.

You probably have something comparable to a rug burn.

Do you wash your face with cleanser and water, using you hands only?

Or do you use a wash clothe, sponge or loafah and really scrub at your face?

Try a cool compress. Not cold cuz that might irritate it more. Just lay a cool damp cloth on the side of your face that's irritated. HTH

i wash with purpose cleanser and water. I did it too harshly and did it probably 8 times because of me not getting my makeup correct.
