Hello Everyone!

I was wondering what the real benefits an instant tanning lotion are. If I have darker skin would I receive the same benefits as a lighter skin person? Are the results worth all the work?

I would imagine that the results would be much more visible for a lighter skinned person, but depending on how dark your skin is, you might see some results. I prefer to use one of the gradual tanning products (Olay Touch of Sun), because it's super moisturizing and you don't really have to worry about screwing it up. But I suppose if you exfoliate first and really have the time to do a good job with an instant tanner (they are less goof-proof), you might really enjoy it!

Hi gcogorno,Welcome to Makeuptalk

I just did some self tanning last weekend and used St Tropex nstant tanning lotion. You will get an even darker result on your body if you actually have a tan.My arms and legs were tanned before the instant tan and they came out really dark and bronzed. Self tanning is hard work...i am not sure which tanning lotion you are going to use but buy yourself some self tan remover so you can apply it with your hands rather than plastic gloves and the finished result is SO much better.I spent all weekend exfoliating, moisturising and buffing so it's still fresh on my mind. Good Luck.

PS, u can use st tropez tan remover as it works with most probably all self tans.
