I was hoping someone out there can help recommend a good instant bronzer for legs. I don't want a self-tanner (the kind that deepens over time), as I never manage to get them on smoothly, and then I'm stuck for weeks with the mistakes.

I have been using Philosophy's "The Big Skinny" for the past year, and it works quite well, but it's kind of spendy for the size of the container. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any DS brands that work the same. I am fair-skinned, and the Big Skinny does work well for adding just a slight natural bronze effect. I also like that it washes off with soap and water, but doesn't rub off on clothing, once dry.

Thanks for any ideas!

There's so many products these days! I can't suggest one based on personal experience. Although, I did use Neutrogena's Sunless Tanning and Bronzing products years ago. Check in the skin care or bath, body & fragrance forums, as well as the review section of the site. I'm sure you'll find something there, as well as I'm sure you'll get some good recs from posts.

I actually did try searching the product reviews section, and I could only find reviews on self-tanners, not instant bronzers. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? I even scanned the self-tanner reviews in case someone had placed a bronzer review there, but I didn't have any luck.

Let me know if anyone out there has an ideas!

Okay, I just did some pokin' around...

MAC Sundressing Body Bronzer was a rave, and that's all I saw on bronzers for the body. Everything else seemed to be self-tanners, or facial bronzers. Andi (Arielle) recently got Rimmel Sexy Legs (the thread can be found here). Aside from that, I didn't see anything... But I do know Neutrogena has an instant bronzer... There's also Ban de Soleil, but I'm not sure if it's a self-tanner or bronzer... I'm trying to help ya, but I don't think I am... Am I?

EDIT: I just noticed (all it took was for me to look down *lol*) that mark offers Aloha Glow Face & Body, which is a cream-to-powder bronzer for the face & body that has a mess-free, sponge applicator. Not sure how well it works, but you could check into it. It's $7.50 for 2oz., and it's in a can.

I just got the MAC sundressing, i like it but its light so get the deep dark

I have the Rimmel Sexy Legs one and I like it. I wish it had a nicer scent though. Like something tropical. I have thought of getting the mark one. I also saw that Avon has a new beaches line that has a scented instant bronzer that washes off and there Anew line has a leg one that comes in light and dark that's supposed to slenderize the appearance of legs. I was thinking of getting the beaches one and the Anew one.

Yea i agree with the rimmel sexy legs, arielle has a pic of the colour in the haul section.

I don't know if you'd consider it a "bronzer" per se, but Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs works great!! It's available at drugstores for less than $10.

oooh!! mac's body bronzer!! it's a mousse and it just gives this really nice even tan and just a hint of shimmer to it. and it comes in 3 different tones.
