the whole Monistat powder-gel as primer & Prep H for undereyes and vaginal wipes as makeup remover- who was the first to do this?

well, i have decided to take one for the team... i have yet to see it posted, and if it has, then let me know- but shortly after giving birth i needed Tuck's. My husband went crazy and bought enough for the whole delivery ward (a trip to costco, of course). now i have BOXES of this stuff, with no use!

These pads are PH balanced, and reduce swelling and redness, and obviously hygenic- plus the only active ingredient is witch hazel, everything else is stablizers.

My experiment you ask?

I'm going to replace my toner for the week, and use these bad boys. I'll tell you how it goes!

taking one for the team in the name of beauty, hehehe

Good look with your experiment. I will nominate you for a Nobel Prize in Beauty if you find good uses for other things! ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

keep us updated. these pads were a lifesaver after i left the hospital. .. but now i have extras sitting around and i don't know what to do w/them. the onli thing is they stink ....but if i can use acv on my face..... :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I use witch hazel on my face daily, so if they have it in them they should be good for your skin. I think you will probably like the results!

I would also like to see how it goes. I just wonder what it would do for redness on the face. I'm always looking for something to use on my red face. Keep us updated if it works I'll run out and grab some. I have to say after having my daughters they were lifesavers!!!

DAY ONE OF EXPERIMENT:

no need to go on with any other days i am sad to say.

I pulled out all the left over's in our house- the Tucks, the Equate, the ones that came from the hospital, and the Prep H's.

I went through and did a swipe test on my arm first, and did a smell test... every single one, just had that very distinctive smell. I let it settle for a bit to see how long it would last. 15 minutes later, still had that smell. decided to go ahead anyway, and went with the one that had the least funk smell to it- the prep h pad.

i can smell it, AND i can also feel it. this will not work as a toner alternative. i can feel a film on my face that is slightly sticky. it must be something inthe inactive ingredients that helps bind the witch hazel to the "area that needs treatment".

i was ready to be a trailblazer, and now my face smells something like a sterilized body part.

thanks for the support though! hahahaha

you can tell coworkers / family / friends about how i wiped hemmoroid pads on my face, just to see what would happen. i am sure they would get a good laugh and tell you what a nut i am.

:vogel:

my husband also thinks i have severely lost my lid.

Oh, bah. Maybe there's a silicone in there, and if you could get past the smell you'd have a toning primer?

Oh well, great experiment! Thanks for doing this in the name of science!

LMAO....Good for you for taking one for the team....lol...gotta love Costco:)

:add_wegbrech: :add_wegbrech: Thanks for trying it out....You're a team player;)
