I'll be moving to San Francisco!!

For those who don't know, I currently reside in Portland but i'm gonna miss it....Mostly the not having to pay sales tax for things!!!

That's why ive been up to my eyeballs in buying lots and lots and lots of products...

But...yea, i'll be moving down there on wed/thursday. So only a few more days. I'm slowly packing my things..which isn't too bad cuz i don't have a lot of things to start off with..which is probably the reason why I don't mind buying the stuff that I need.

I'm gonna miss it up here..it's so beautiful and the ski resort is only an hour away and the beach is only 1.5 hours away as well. Such an ideal spot where I am..but it's okay..San Fran is awesome. Expensive as hell...but that's okay too...my hubby just got a job that pays 30k more than before and i thought what he was making before was quite good..oh well

It's not a total loss...he's gonna buy me a car when I move down there..and damnit..I want a WRX or Integra GSR... =X Dunno if he'll give it to me...maybe he'll say yes to a sloppy BJ...

What part of SF will you be moving to? You will love that city. You may not even need a car since parking it so terrible. Public transportation is the way to go.

Thanks michal.

Yea Punctured ..the move is going to be with my husband. We have been doing this arrangement where he flies up to portland every 3-4 weeks for a few days and that's been going on for a little over a year now.

It'll be nice to be with him again.

Marisol-

I should say... We are more likely to move to walnut Creek ( a suburb) rather than being in the city. I love what San Fran has to offer..but not too keen on living in the city. I like my white picket fence.

But yea, He currently lives in Emeryville because work is 5 min away...but now he'll be commuting to his new job that is 1.5 hour away. Owch!

You will like Walnut Creek. it is a nice city and it has a great mall. You are close enough to go to different places. Emeryvile has a great mall too - Bay Street. And an Ikea if you need furniture and things for your home. When you get settled, you should check out Fourth Street in Berkeley. Awesome stores, coffee shops, restaurants and great vibe.

Thanks for the great recommendations!

Now, I REALLY can't wait to move !!

Congratulations. It sounds exciting. Don't have my map out so how far of a drive is it from Portland to SF?

good luck in your move. I recommend hiring movers beacause moving everything yourself is far from fun.

I haven't explored outside of SF much but I like it there where I visited. It was beautiful and I remember people being really nice (even outside the shops).

I've heard Portland is really nice and peaceful - how long you guys lived the there?

Yay to WRX fans
