I bought some Prescriptives foundation from their website (they were sold out of my color at Macys and also they were having a GWP on the website), and filled out a survey during checkout. A few days later, they called me and asked if I'd be willing to participate in a focus group on skincare. They discussed a new concept of "custom blend moisturizer" (like their custom-blend foundation, custom-blend lipgloss) and our thoughts on it. It was hard for me to have an opinion, because my skin is hyper oily and I don't use moisturizer. For participating, they gave everyone a gift bag (full-size "False Eyelashes" mascara, full-size "Super Line Preventer" moisturizer, full-size "Tint Balm" in Sunrise, full-size "All Clean" cleanser, and mints). Their offices are beautiful and have an amazing view of NYC. If you ever get a chance to be part of a focus group, you should try it, it was really neat to see how concepts are launched.

That sounds neat! Probably helps that you live in NYC! So...are they going to launch something like that? It sounds interesting.

that's amazing! it's good to know that they really listen to regular folks! congrats!

they were in "concept" stage, where they were just discussing the original idea, they don't have any products formulated yet. If the focus groups (they had a few of them) find it interesting, then they begin proceeding with developing some test products. I don't know how long it would take to get into stores, if it seems like the focus groups liked it.

Oh my gosh, that sounds so cool! Congrats on getting to attend something so fun!
