I've been noticing for the last few weeks that I didn't seem to be as oily thoughout the day, or even after waking up. I'd normally have a bit of oil in the T-zone area... Well, last night when I washed my face, I noticed my eyelids were ashy... And my undereye area seemed tight. Now, It's just the eye area that seemed dry. Everything else seems "normal." Is it possible my skin has balanced out and I finally have normal skin type? Or am I turning dry? I wanna thank the DHC Mild Soap for making my face feel so nicely and for not having a lot of oils, especially since it's been kinda cool out since I started using it... Anywho! What do you think is happening? TIA!!!

thats been happening to me lately too acutally, i realized it has to deal with the weather.

so i gotta change like a lot of my cleansing system.

Well, I'd say it was the weather, but this didn't happen to me last year... Which is why I'm curious. I've always lived in a more humid climate until I moved to NY. I dunno... Maybe it is the weather...

It might be because of the change of seasons, and the air becoming cooler and drier. It happens to me every fall and winter.

Have you been using any products with benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid?

it might have something to do with dry air (heating system) but also, I heard about many women getting dry skin (after having normal or combo, or even olity skin) as they pass their early twenties.

Not using anything with BP or SA to my knowledge. No medications have been added or taken away since I'm not on any. Nothing about my skincare regimen has changed. Like I said, the weather was already starting to cool down once I got the DHC, and it hasn't fluctuated that much. Maybe it's the water since we moved in here... I have no idea... It's like it just happened overnight in the last week or so.

LMAO! I wash with the "nasty" water... Should I start taking bottled water with me in the shower??? LMAO! :vogel:

Ahem! Actually, I do... You make it sound like I never do! LMAO! I use the Equate Cleansing Cloths in the morning. I wash my face in the shower at night with the DHC Mild Soap... So, HA, HA, HA!!! :10:

You are correct in that I didn't use to wash my face at night and went to bed in makeup... I give you that... Thanks for keeping me on my toes! :policeman:

Nope... Something about it scares me... I've heard negatives comments, and for some reason they haunt me! :tocktock:

I sometimes have the same problem specially on my lids, but I'm glad that happens so that reminds me I need to moisturize ehehe

Maybe winter is the culprit. Or if you wear powder makeup..since it can soak up lots of oils. I don't know..combo skin can be tricky.

Honestly i have no idea what it is, maybe it's a good thing u're not so oily anymore. I'd rather slather on extra moisturizer, than have to blot like crazy all the time.

I know my skin gets dry w/tea tree, BP, (and other cleanser/product that dries out acne) Also , my skin always gets dry and flaky in the winter.. eww, i know

Same here. I also assumed it's the weather that caused it.

But, I used to have normal skin as well, my skin changed to oily when I turned 25. I hope I can get my normal skin back!

My oily skin turned totally dry after having a child and it's 12 years later and getting dryer.
