I am 43 and have been using Retin A for close to 20 years. I recommend it 1000%.
Retin A is the only product that has been clinically shown to reduce wrinkles, not just the "appearance " of fewer wrinkles.
A doctor has to prescribe it - in Canada, a tube costs $20 and lasts 6 months.
Just make sure you use sunscreen as your face will be more sensitive to sunlight.
I'm not sure about products that contain Vitamin C. There has been some evidence that they help to rejuvinate collagen. But Retin A does rejuvinate collagen and it helps to remove wrinkles as well.
Before spending all kinds of money on procedures and over the counter creams, make an appoinment with a dermatologist.
They will tell you what products are available and how they will help your skin.
Make sure the dermatologist gives you a good daily regime that is uncomplicated and will help your appearance.
Finally, if you decide to undergo any kind of procedure, ask the dermatologist which facilities are reputable and which are not. Even inquire whether microdermabrasion (and similar treatments) are worthwhile.
IMO there are a lot of useless procedures/products that costs a lot of money.
It appears that some people feel the more they pay for products/procedures
the better their skin can look.
