I get random pimples on my chin, and every now and then i get a big, red swollen one.

usually theyre small and in clusters. the bigger ones are under the skin, never form a head and the skin peels because it gets so swollen. Its red and inflamed and angry

and not to mention its painful.

So! i need a spot treatment. my face is kind of sensitive, acne prone and combo. Its also pink for the most part on my cheeks and chin.

thanks!

I have the same skin type and Clinical Basic Skin Care's Blemish Blaster has been working very well as a spot treatment for me.

Something else you might wanna try is taking 1 or 2 aspirins and adding just a tad bit of water to let them disolve. Then crush them up and apply to the blemish. It will help reduce redness and inflammation. You can also put it on your whole face, let dry, gently exfoliate with it, and then rinse off. Here's more info on it...

I use Mary Kay Blemish Control Toner. I just put some on a Q-tip, and dab it where I need it. I tried Neutrogena's but it made my skin flake and peel.

I hear that the Proactiv Sulfur Mask helps. Whenever you get a pimple, dab a little on the spot before you go to bed and wash it off the next morning. I get those red, painful ones too but sometimes, they're so inflamed and red that spot treatments just don't work **sigh**

-i agree w/Lisa about the aspirin mask.

-if u're not allergic to benzoyl peroxide, Clean and Clear makes a great spot treatment w/10 % BP. -but it tends to dry up the skin a lil.

-Tea Tree oil works for me too, but again ... it's a lil drying

I find BP 5% works effectively on spots. I get that by perscription though and at first it did irritate my skin.

A wonderful over the counter product that works wonders is:

DERMA E - Clear Skin 2 Spot Blemish Treatment. It''s great for sensitive skin and works quite well at shrinking those painful suckers!

You can find this product at Walmart (natural section) and Whole Foods.

I use Clean & Clear Dual Action moisturizer. It moisturizes and has acne treatment in it. I had a huge zit in the middle of my forehead yesterday and last night I put it all over the spot. This morning I woke up and the redness and swelling went down and the spot was dried up. It is drying so I don't recommend using it more than once a day.

I'd recommend Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion or Drying Cream. I dab that on with a Q-Tip and overnight, voila!, zit-be-gone!

you know what I have tried recently, it was given to me by a friend of mine. It's called, "Acne Spot Treatment." You can get it if you log into drloretta.com. I just found her website and has different products for your skin. If you can't find it, get the contact info and call the company. They will send out to you.

Whoa I forgot about this stuff..yes it's definately the best as a spot treatment. It works very quickly and it's not harsh on the skin it's actually calming. I've been using Neutrogena Rapid Clear and it works ok. It takes a few days for the pimple to completely vanish though.

I would diffenitly do the asprin masks for the spot treatment and maybe so tea tree oil with AHD
