well i finally had enough of the lines between my eyes and went for it. i had botox. i just thought i would tell you how it went. IT WAS GREAT AND STILL IS.

there was no pain, seriously like 5 tiny pricks at my brow line level, it was over in 30 seconds, i said is that it and the doc said everyone says that, yes that is it. i was told not to lay down on my back or look down by moving my head, for 4 hours so i had to be lazy work the rest of the day, no paperwork got done, but i stayed busy doing other stuff.

it does not work right away, the effects can take up to month, it has been a week for me and i can see the line going away, and it does not feel weird or anything, i dont miss not being able to forrow my brows.

i also had a restylane filler in my nasal area folds, that did no turn out as nice as i wanted it to, i probably need another round of that. that was kinda painful but not real bad itself either.

anyway if you been thinking about botox for the area between the eyes and have been scared it would be painful, it is not. go for it. you'll love it

i'm so happy you are pleased with your results! i'm too chicken to do it myself, but i'd love to see some pics if you have any! thanks

I'm glad it went well for you. I don't think I could even do that though. I'd probably throw up on the doc. as soon as he got an inch from my face. hehe...

You should post a before and after pic!

i did not even think to get before pictures, darn i should have done that. i am one week out so i will take a pic now while they are still a little creased, and then again in 3 weeks, when the full effect has taken place

seriously it does not hurt, a blood test in your arm is like 100 millions times worse. they use a tiny ultra fine needle and it is like dot, dot ,dot, dot, dot over in less then 30 seconds, i guess if you really wanted it they could use numbing cream if you requested it (they do use that for restylane fillers) but there is no need it , you cant see what they are doing, you sit upright and i am a big baby as far as pain goes, but it was easier than plucking my eyebrows, i was so amazed.

Cool, glad you like the results! I'd love to see pics, too. Why can't you lay down or look down afterwards for 4 hours?

thanks for sharing this! it's always good to hear about this first hand. I will definitely try these things once I need them, right now I think I am a little bit to young. but maybe in 5 years...

the only thing that is annoying about botox is that you have to repeat it often to keep the results

intresting hope you like the result's if you dont mind me asking what was the cost

wow you really crossed the line!

LOL Im just kidding

I think it's great you did that.

I think I'd like to do that when I get older but only in my imagination, lol, I'm too scared of needles (going to the dentist is scary enough for me)

I am getting botox done on my forehead in December. Things for posting your experience. I was a little afraid to do it but now I am not.

On the cost, I was told it depends on what you want done, how deep your wrinkles are and how many units they think you will need. So you would need to go in for a consultation. That is what I did. My forehead wrinkles are slight (see my picture) and the cost for me is going to be around $300.

that is good news! i'm starting to get one line vertical from frowning or squinting, I can't stand it, think i'll be botoxing myself w/in a couple of years if i keep hearing good things about it. how long is it supposed to last?

Glad it works for you! John needs Botox in his forehead! He wakes up with this "Frankenstein" look from the way his brow furrows while he sleeps! He doesn't get horizontal lines, only vertical ones! LOL!

my cost was $300. that was for the area between the eyes. i live in the missouri, larger places might cost more. i did not have my forehead done this time, doc said the area i had done would make my forehead muscles work harder, which would help get rid of the lines i have there. he took pictures and will compare when i go back to see if i should do that area too next time. the thing is you want to do it before the lines get bad and turn into creases , like mine did, i know have lines but not the huge creases, i can cover the lines with makeup and you never know they are there. i wish i had done it years ago then i would not even have the lines left. also oddly i see better, i think it is because it makes my eyebrows raise up getting my upper eyelids off my eyeballs. hard to explain.

the length in between treatments depends on the person, anywhere between 3 and 6 months. every time you have it done thou the better it gets and the less you have to go. i figure even if i was the unlucky one who only got 3 months, it is still only a $100 per month, i have spent way more than that on creams and junk before so i just cut back on some ot that stuff and it pays for itself.

i am one week out and have 3 to go to full results, i will post a pic here in few if i can figure out how. then i will update every week for 3 weeks.

ok i am going to try this

picture me 11 days after botox still have 22 days to go for full effect. ignore my crossed eyes LOL

tried to find a picture of someone who looked close to what i did before treatment this was as close as i could find. my creases are more toward the brow a little and i had bad creases on my nose.
