...to get rid of some newer and older acne scars that I have. Well not actual scars but you know those post-blemish red bumps that get flatter over time but on me stay on my face for a long time.

I read good things about Mederma for the biggest part and it was cheaper than I thought, €10 for a 20g tube. It does itch a tiny bit (and the itch doesn´t go away after a min, it keeps flaring up so to say) but that´s totally bearable IMO. Instructions say to MASSAGE it into the scar for 2-3 times a day.

I took before pics...and if I get any good results I will post the after ones for comparison. Let me just say I am getting my hopes up REALLY high!!!

Mederma does work. I just hated the itching part and was too lazi to apply 2-3 times a day ...

can't wait to see your pics :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

well I´ve used Glycolic Acid Peels right after At Home Microdermabrasion..which stings quite a bit so I can put up with the itching easy...IF IT WORKS!

And my scars bother me quite a bit (my skin would be pretty clear but thanks to those red scars I need lots of foundation) so I´d do anything it takes to get rid of them

I might try this for a scar from my belly button ring (it is out now, my body rejected it :kopfkratz: let us know how it works for you!

Wow, I'm like in the same situation! I haven't tried any peels or a microdermabrasion, but I've been using Neosporin on and off for a while, and I got Mederma last month. I applied it 2 times every day for about a week, but then the itching was REALLY bad. I couldn't handle it so I stopped using it for a while, but then I continued to use it about 3 times a week for every other week. Now, the marks are still there, but they faded a great deal.

So, hopefully it works well for you too. It's soooo irritating to have to cover it up all the time. It seriously makes me sad, 'cause if it wasn't for those marks I'd have a perfect complexion. If it's not one thing(blemishes), it just has to be another(scars), lol.

It works really well for any scar, and it didn't really itch on me.. i don't really remember any itching actually lol, and i think i only used it at night. I used it on my arm because i had degree burns on my arm from when i was little.

I do a 50% peel right after Dr. Brandt's MDB in a Jar too and it burns a lil sometimes .. esp when i forget to be consistent w/my peels. I dont mind those burns ... but somehow w/Mederma, I'm constantly trying to scratch the product off cuz it itches. ..

However, when i do put up w/it , I see realli nice results. My mom uses it , I guess she doesn't mind the itching so much and it realli helped her scars :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I've been using glycolic peels and microdermabrasion for treating my scars, but I might try this too if it works for you. Please tell us about your experience so I'll know! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

keep us posted! i never heard of it making people itch, though, before this thread.
