I have been using this on my chin which is broken out right now. I came across something somewhere that said HP wasnt good for your skin. Something about free radicals??? I didnt understand it but it seems to help with blemishes. Does anyone know or have an opinion on it?

It might would work since the hydrogen peroxide was used as a wound cleanser, since it has some bactericidal power - so it would kill the bacteria of the wound, but really work on the breakout is a long shot. The hp in contact with the open wound, has a reaction with a protein on blood, becoming h2o + o2, which makes it bubbles when it touches an open wound. But that reaction isn't always that "nice" and sometimes there's free molecules of oxygen , looking desperately to connect with anything (that's the free radical). When that oxygen combines with the fat on the cellular membrana it can cause it to transform in a lipidic peroxide, which disorganizes the cell structure and can damage it (that's why free radicals are bad for the body). But the body has ways to defeat the free radicals (but them with time start to be less eficient, and they start to build up on the cells, becoming deposits).

Is it clear? If i could draw it ,would be so much easier to explain... But let's tell a lil story :

Imagine that free radicals are like that desperate woman who can't see a man (fats or anything really). They're produced all the time, with every reaction that occours on the body. Our barrier men (cell membrana) are holding hands to maintain the cell on its shape... But then it comes our desperate woman and grabs one of the man and combines with him, which makes the barrier unstable... The body has ways to make the couple leave the area and the barrier , but with age, it starts to fail, and with more desperate women grabbing the barrier, it can make it so unstable that destroy the barrier.

That's a very helpful post Lia!

wow, thanks!

Thanks, I guess its not the best idea to be using it on my face then. I was just reading that benzoxyl peroxide in acne meds works the same way and is partially converted to hydrogen peroxide and that its is the oxygen that actually kills the bacteria
