Humidity = lank, limp hair? Agh.

I'm moving down to Florida, and on my first visit down there, I learned that my normally obedient straight hair goes limp and dead in the crazy humidity. In Pennsylvania, I can let it air dry and then brush it out into a proper curtain of hair-- in the south, I ended up wearing it scraped back in a ponytail all the time, since the air was so wet that my hair would never actually get dry and fan out. It would just lay in lank, almost greasy-looking chunks: not attractive.

I don't want to spend the rest of our time down there wearing my hair back or in braids, but it looks awful down. Anyone from humid climes have a fix to this? Would I need to blow dry my hair every day? I am a beauty n00b-- I use a hair dryer maybe twice a year right now-- so I'm clueless. Thoughts?

If you use a blowdryer, don't forget the heat protectant. You can also use anti frizz or anti humidity leave in or rinse off conditioners, i have tried both (a heat protectant from l'oreal tec [pro line] and the rinse off conditioner is from L'oreal Elseve) and they both work well in keeping your hair straight and shiny looking.

Be careful as to how much you use, because they weigh your hair down easily.

Like the previous post, you'll most likely have to blowdry and apply an anti frizz serum to seal the humidity out of your hair. maybe a coconut oil mask once a week to keep it shiny and healthy looking.

I live in FL and my hair always seems frizzy and poofy. I know its the humidity because it looks so much nice and is so much easier to manage when I visit different places. I need to pick up a heat protectant and more anti frizz serum. Any other tips would be great. I almost wish my hair would go limp, it might be easier to deal with
