The previous moisturizer i was using gave me big pimples (really big, the kind you just want to hide under a ton of makeup), and i didn't want to buy the rather big list of ingredients i missed for a homemade moisturizer.
I stopped by the healthfood store for some groceries and i found this moisturizer. I know Themis is supposed to be an organic skincare whose aim is to create pampering products (they have a chocolate facemask !), and it's fairtrade, but i never tried it before. But the moisturizer is decently priced (it would cost me the same amount of money if i were to buy a moisturizer from Avene or La Roche Posay, my go-to brands) and it has original ingredients so i thought i didn't risk much in buying a tube.
I fell in love with it
, so much i even want to wash my face at night just to apply it, it's a rare feeling. It contains mango, daisy flower and lotus extracts, which are rare ingredients i think, and more strangely it also contains gingko biloba and ginseng extracts. for the moisturising part it also contains macadamia nut oil, which is a fantastic oil.
It's made for dry to combination skins, i thought that was original too, usually you get moisturizers for combination to oily, which are never enough moisturising for the dry cheeks, or dry to normal, which are too rich for my t zone (sometimes combination skin feels like a curse
).
It claims to balance your skin and leave a matte effect, for once i own a product that stays true to its promise as it really does that for me, and it sinks in quickly. It has a nice scent too, i guess because of all the extracts (it doesn't contain any fragrance), but it remains discreet.
I think i will try more products from the brand in the future, like the chocolate mask or the hydrating gel that is suggested to be used with this moisturizer.
