Crows-feet:

One of the earliest signs of aging. But many antiaging treatments, such as AHA's and retinoids, are too irritating for the delicate tissue around the eye area. Instead use palmitoyl pentapeptide-3, a peptide chain that triggers the growth of collagen and elastin without the inflamation of the eye area. In a French study, pentapeptides reduced the number of wrinkles in subjects by 36% and decreased wrinkle depth by 27% after four months of twice-daily use!

Pentapeptides deliver excellent results for all skin types. The secret to fast results is to apply products containing peptides in the morning before moisturizer and makeup so they can have optimal contact with the skin!

Crepey Neck:

The neck muscle is not connected to a bone structure and is therefore especially prone to elastin loss. But DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), an antioxidant occurring naturally in fish, can compensate for the loss. The first topical ingredient proven to tighten skin and reduce crepeiness, DMAE facilitates the synthesis of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that signals the body to increase tension in the skin!

DMAE firms the muscles to provide architectural support, but it takes about four months to see results with any topical agent. It can also be taken orally - 50 mg daily and some combine topical with oral for speedier smoothing and firming!

Smile lines:

Each time we use our facial muscles to smile, a microscopic groove forms beneath the surface of the skin. Younger tissue is pliable and able to spring back into place, but as skin ages it loses this elasticity. Add to that the production of collagen (protein fiber that plumps skin) slows down, making the lines and folds around the mouth deeper. But retinoids such as Retin-A and Renova are the best remedy. These synthetic derivatives of vitamin A activate skin cells called retinoid receptors to regenerate and prevent the breakdown of collagen and elastin, delivering visible smoothing results in just 4 weeks.

While prescription retinoids deliver fastest and longest-lasting results, they can be too irritating for women with sensitive skin. Use retinols, which are available w/o a prescription. They are a milder form of retinoids and deliver similar skin-rejuvenating benefits w/o the same level of irritation. Now some over the counter retinols have green-tea extract and other soothing agents in them.

Age Spots:

Sun exposure causes color-producing cells to become hyperactive, leading to irregular pigmentation, including freckling and age spots. Dermatologists agree that the most effective way to ligten and brighten skin is to apply L-ascorbic acid. The antioxidant powers of this topical vitamin C work to eliminate free radicals produced by UVA and UVB rays. L-ascorbic acid also inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for skin darkening , to improve the signs of photodamage by 58 percent in just 3 months.

Vitamin C has protection capabilities, apply it in the morning as an added shield against the sun. A little goes a long way. Just put a couple of drops of a vitamin C serum--the most potent form--in the palm of your hand and use your fingertiops to rub it into affected areas.

Thank you so much Kim!!

I was just looking for the mature forum to check if some of you over 30, and with some crows feet have any tips.i have high cheek bones and that results in early crows feet and some undereye circles!

I have been using the freeze 24/7 anti eyecircles under my eye cream and it worked a bit.Now it`s empty and i only use my eye cream(used to be La Mer eye balm, but now Shiseido`s) and the lines are showing so much more.I ordered NV.Perricone eye area and another one you could wear under that, and I just pray and hope it works.Have you heard of this one?

I have also heard that emu oil is good.Know that Drema "something" was featured on Oprah.Don`t know if that is a good one.

Any good tip?

Thanks, Kristina

If it stings too much ..you use the Emu oil first and then apply the peptides!
I was thinking of ordering the sample kit. It $10. Just to make sure my skin will handle the copper peptide. I did see the Super Cop. I love the name! hehehe

I did a search here for pheromones and the only thing that came up was a post started by Envymi. Haven't seen her here in awhile...

The only response that seemed to come up was about a perfume called Realm. I may start another post to see if anyone has tried anything else. Seems interesting to me.

I may be saying something you don't want to hear, but you do get crows feet from smiling and who doesn't smile? Botox does take crows feet completely away, but you must keep up with it. At least it did for me, but I didn't like the way it affected my eyebrow when I smiled. Hey, to each his own.
