How to get this look to work?

Hi everyone! I love this look and for the longest time I have been trying like crazy to get this right and for it to stay put. I have bangs about that long and for some reason every time I attempt this look my bangs always want to go inward rather than outward like hers. How in the world do I get my hair like this?

What do you use to style your hair? I usually take a one inch flat iron or fat barrel curling iron, maybe 1.5 to 2 inches? A curling iron might be better, because I find my flat iron makes a better curl that holds longer and the pic is super loose and pulled away from the face. With a curling iron, I curl the hair (twisting the barrel in towards my face) while pulling it up and off my forehead. Does that make sense? Lol, I hope so. Then I finger comb it and gently sweep to the sides of my head. Hope that helps!

I pretty much do exactly what you do. I find the flat iron also works better but still for some reason...maybe I'm doing it completely wrong?....the curl always wants to curl inward towards my face. Thank you for responding

Hmm.... Maybe try pinning it off to the side for a bit til your hair cools? That may help to keep it in place and "set" it.

Finally figured out what was going on with my hair!

First of all I wasn't curling it right and I wasn't curling it enough. What I have found that works is that I use a flat iron. Iron it up and back with a good amount of curve. Then I tease, spray and flip it forward. Then adjust it to the sides and spray again. Finally!
