Banish those dark circles forever with these simple steps!

Steps

[*][*]Establish whether or not this condition runs in the family. This will determine whether or not you will be truly successful. If it does run in the family then you must prepare yourself for having minimal success, but still follow the rules below.[*]Drink massive amounts of water.[*]Get at least 8 hours of sleep nightly.[*]Maintain a healthy diet, including many fruits and vegetables.[*]Don't smoke![*]Wash your face with cool to cold water.

Tips

  • Buy a concealer such as Touche Eclat by Yves Saint Laurent as this will eradicate them, albeit temporarily but is a fab product all the same.
  • Food allergies/sensitivities play a major part in under-eye circles. Processed foods with artificial colors and preservatives, milk allergies, can cause this problem.
  • Mineral makeup is incredible for this problem. Mineral makeup reflects light and makes those circles disappear...without applying gobs of stuff.
Warnings

  • Understand that dark under eye circles and discoloration are also hereditary. This is a factor you cannot have control over, but you can conceal with the proper application of under eye concealers.

Great post...but I wanted to add one more thing... my daughter was anemic and I could tell at her worst her under eyes got the darkest...so health conditions like lack of iron can be a cause as well. I have had a few clients find this was them too. I am gonna share this with some people :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> thanks for posting it.

I wish my mineral makeup would cover them, its does cover them a bit..... but oh well :scream3: lol.

Mine are pretty much hereditary... But the mineral makeup did help some when I used it... Didn't know food allergies could play a part... Great post Mina!!!

I have hereditary dark circles...my mom and grandma both have them. But it is true about the iron....mine must be low bc my circles look better since I started taking iron. Just make sure to take the time released kind so u dont get all "locked up"..lol. My vitamin c products from the body shop Ive been using seem to be helping brighten that area too....there are days when Im in a hurry I just dab on a little powder, some lip gloss, and mascara, and off I go. Normally I never leave the house without concealer.

Thanks for the info! my viatmin c moisturizer (neutrogena even skin) seems to help brighten the area, as well.

Thanks for tips Miranhat,i suffer dark circles but i have noticed that they are so much better than they used to be.I am also a great beliver in that sadness etc does show on one's face.I remember my circles were so dark i looked like a racoon. Now a few years later they are greatly improved and i don't have to wear a seperate concealor.A happy healthy lifestyle makes a drasitc change. Also smoking in another cause of darkness under the eyes,so kick the haibit for gorgeous skin.

Great post! I think I have hereditary dark circles too but they do appear lighter when i eat healthier and get more sleep.

Heredity has got me there too! I've tried to sleep more, but it doesn't always work as I plan. Unfortunately, I'm a smoker and I can't get myself to drink more water than I do. I'm so bad! However, I've been lucky. I recently started using Avon Anew Repair Eye Serum, and my undereye circles have gotten A LOT lighter! I almost didn't notice, but one day while applying makeup I realized they had actually gotten better! Now the only thing I'm praying I can diminish is the puffiness from my fat pockets along my bottom eyelid having excess fat... I think my only true hope there is surgery, and that's too risky IMHO!!!

Great post! Seems like every skin problem can be helped with water, sleep, and proper diet ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

All the tips about sleep, water, diet etc are so right. But if you need extra help, I've just started using a product called Ageless Eye Flash Concentrate from an Australian company Eleusian which has already made a huge improvement to my terrible dark circles after only a few weeks. Worth checking out. I think they have a website

Great tips! i really want YSL touche eclat...just trying to get the courage to pay 40$ + for it!
