I have oily skin which can cause my skin, mostly my forehead, to look shiny, especially at the end of the day. Any suggestions on how to keep my face looking fresh and clean throughout the day? Products I could use? Thanks!

Use a gentle gel cleanser

Wash twice a day

Tone carefully

Don't skip sunscreen

Avoid moisturizing makeup

Use powder

Blot away shine

Try a mask

Go for powdered makeup

Rule out any skin conditions

The demand for Botox in Yorkshire is on the rise with more and more people jumping aboard the anti-ageing bandwagon.

I find that when I workout and work up a sweat early in the day, I have half as much oil build up by the end of the day. Some things you can do is, use a good toner, make sure to moisture(oil free products)! I have tried so many highend oil control primers and the only thing that works for me is ironically a drugstore primer. The brand is Black Radiance and it is only about four bucks. It's called complexion perfection Primer. It is in a small black squeeze bottle. Amazing! It actually does what it says it does. Try it out. Walmart as well as rite-aid sells this brand. Let me know how it worksa for ya!

Here are some solutions:

1. Avoid junk foods like burgers, fried foods and chocolate as they will tend to impact your complexion.
2. Drink minimum eight to ten glasses of water a day to maintain yourself hydrated.
3. Use oil free products.
4. You will want to wash your face twice a day, once when you wake up and once before going to bed.

This is my skincare regimine and i'm 30 wit tan very oily skin. First i turn on hot water and let it steam my face for 1 min, longer is better, then i use olive oil wash from dhc.com It' s oil but believe me it hasworked for me. I use this only at night to remove makeup but if u have dry skin use 2 times a day. Then i rinse that and wash with the Acnefree cleanser for 30 seconds at least. The little bit of steam helps to get the crap out of my pores. Then i use the oil free moisterizer from dhc again. In the day i use sunscreen. Twice a week i use a clay mask that i get powdered form from Whole Foods market and jus mix with water wat i need. Also i take vitamins and TRY to drink lots of water. Has made all the difference. Another good face cleanser is Purity by Philosophy. Hth good luck. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Resolving skin problems are often as much about what you take out of the routine as what you add in - omit anything containing sulphate surfactants, alkaline soaps, alcohol, astringents, drying acids or acne fighting ingredients. Instead use products containing ingredients that respect the acid mantle and repair the skin barrier such as lanolin, ceramides, cholesterol, stearic or palmitic acid (actually lipids), olive squalane, hyaluronic acid, lactic acid, urea or aloe vera.

I have oily skin, and I also had the same problem.

Now what I do is:

  1. Drink plenty of water
  2. Wash your face morning and night( NEUTROGENA VISIBLY CLEAR® Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash
  3. Use a natural toner (Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz)
  4. Moisturise your face with a hydrating cream
  5. Use translucent face power, this way you are not putting more colour on your face and takes the shine off
  6. Also you might want to consider, not to have oily hair near your forehead this might be a cause for your forehead to be oily

This really should help solve the problem. And don't go for things that specifies certain skin types. Just go for natural things and you will see the difference.

I also have really oily skin, and use Neutragena makeup, but then I set it with a makeup setting spray. Urban Decay has a few different options, all of which are really great! They do have one for oily skin, which is the one I use now. I've gone through two bottles of it and keep buying more at Sephora.

Here is the link (it's called De Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray)

Here are more few tips:

TIP #1- Make sure your face is properly exfoliated and moisturized.

TIP #2- Use a foundation or blending brush to apply your base, Using a brush to apply your foundation instead of your hands or a sponge will not only keep germ clogging pores off your face but creates the best coverage without wasting the product.

TIP #3- Keep your hands off your face!

TIP #4- Get enough sleep- Many people know this but still find it difficult to get a good night's sleep.Sleep also improves muscle tone and skin appearance.

and also try a long wearing foundation like Rimmel 25hr Foundation $7.99. It is very easy to apply, blends well and your skin feels energized and hydrated all day.
I've tried this and I love it.
