How often does your skin breakout? o.o my skin never breaks out but recently i start using moisturizer, toners, and lotion. I don't know why but my skin starts to break out for no reason. i don't know if it is because of the skin care products, i get like 3 pimples...-.- did this happen to you guys when you guys use skin care products?

My skin doesn´t break out anymore (either due to my birth control pill which is mainly prescribed for acne-which is why I got on it a few years ago, or maybe at 26 I´ve "grown out of it"). I remember getting a bunch of pimples once after using a sample of a L`Oreal serum, but other than that new products don´t break me out which is good cause I love trying samples!

You should have a look into the ingredients of the new skincare items you´re using. Maybe the moisturizer has some comedogenic ingredients?

I break out twice a month - around the week of ovulation and the week I start... (yeah, maybe too much info?  lol).

I had horrible acne as a teenager and despite the scars I have from that, my skin looks nice most of the time.  Except for the hormonal break outs.

I'm hoping I can "grow out of it" soon!  But I'm in my 20's now!  How long will it take?!  lol

Hope you can figure out your problem!

I break out every other day or once a week, it varies. This has only to do with my stressful life style, oily foods and hormones :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />((

I'm 33

No, you keep cleansing and moisturizing (skipping moisturizer won´t age you faster though, but it´ll make your skin feel uncomfortably dry if you have any dry areas or you use a drying cleanser), but if you keep breaking out you´ll just have to find a new cleanser and/or moisturizer. Which products are you using that are making you break out?

Look at the labels and see if it's not an ingredient causing this reaction, it can happen.

My skin doesn't breakout that often, but usually i get a few zits rather than just the one. The frequency and the general state of my skin are influenced by a hormonal imbalance i'm experiencing (as well as allergies), so it's hard to say a finite number. I'm hoping once i'm dealing with this problem one of the consequences will be the disappearance of these annoying occasional zits.

My acne has been progressively annoying. I'm wondering if your living in a dry climate and if you have dry skin? I had moved to a dry climate and started a new face cleanser and my face broke out the worst it's ever been! I found out the reason was because my skin was getting so dry from the products that my skin went crazy..so now I'm using no soap no sodium products and moisturizing day and night and it works.

It takes a while to find products that work well for you.  You just have to figure out what kind of skin you have and what your needs are.  Does it seem to be more dry or oily?  Normal or Combination?  It is sensitve, acne prone, blah blah blah and start testing products for your skin type.  Best thing to start with I'd say is kinda universal gentle products like some of the stuff I use.  Like the neutrogena and cetaphil stuff, I've been using it since high school.  I have combination skin that tends to be on the drier side. My skin is somewhate sensitive, i get a pimple here and there but I never have more than like 2 at a time so I don't get any major breakouts.  Here's what works for me:

-Every night to wash my face I remove my eye makeup then use that neutrogena transparent facial soap.  Then I use clearasil spot treatment if I need it, followed by my eye cream and a deep moisurizing face cream by avon.  I forgot the name.

-In the mornings I usually just use a wet cloth in the shower or the neutrogena cleanser again then Cetaphil moisturizer as soon as I get out of the shower before my makeup.

-About every 2 days I use the St Ives apricot scrub, and about once a week I use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque.

Thats it, pretty cheap, simple products but works great for me.

For me the biggest thing is moisturizing every night, and you have to cleanse before you moisturize.  Keeping your skin hydrated not only keeps it soft and supple but keeps your pores healthy so they're actually less likely to get clogged and cause pimples.  As long as you're applying the moisturizer to a clean face.  I've never been a big fan of toners, but some people love them.
