I dont know why but I always q-tip my ears after the shower, but then i heard that it can harm your ears because you can take out too much wax that would otherwise protect your ears. How often do you q-tip your ears?!

After every time I shower, I just get this urge to clean my ears out.. if I don't, it bugs the heck out of me!

Every morning after I brush my teeth. I get that weird urge to clean them out after that lol. I have to do it on a daily basis bc of the earphones I use for my mp3 player.

Just part of my routine after shower to clean them. Otherwise I feel like I have water slogging around in my head.

LOL I started laughing when I saw the title of this thread :) Whether I shower or not - for example, a lazy Saturday that we're just hanging out at home - my ears get cleaned daily. Even more so after showering. Having wet, soggy ears feels absolutely nasty. And there's probably nothing nastier hygiene-wise than seeing somebody beside you in line at the cashier, bank, whatever with mushrooms and crap growing in their ears. *shudder*

My Dr once yelled at me cause my ears were too clean. But I have to clean them every time I shower, which can be up to twice a day.

Doctor's have no idea what they are talking about sometimes. I remember I went to an ENT with my little cousin and her mom and the doctor told her mom not to clean her ears, he said that when she showers and take her baths the wax should naturally be exfoliated, well at the follow- up he said they were really dirty. I quickly yelled that he was the one who told her not to clean them. He kinda gulped, and asked another question!

Even worse, there's nothing worse than someone sticking their keys in their eyes then wiping it off on their pants! I've witnessed this numerous times and it disgusts me. makes me wonder what else they're willing to shove in their open orifices.

Your supposed to clean them??? Guess I wasn't paying attention when mom mentioned that..... lol

Personally, I am obsessed with cleaning my ears! I love the feeling of cleaning them and it gives me an eargasm!!!! I have heard that cleaning your ears often can do more harm than good. Also, you can get them cleaned out by a a doctor. I haven't had this done, but my best friend did it once. At the time, she was in Jr. High and while she was getting her ears drained she moved and the tube came out of her ear and spilled onto her clothes!!! hahahaha YUCK! Can you imagine melted earwax on your clothes??!!!!

P.S.

I can't stand standing behind someone and seeing a nasty chunk of earwax wedged in there! Nor can I stand it when I catch someone sticking their finger in their ear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm obsessed with cleaning them too!  I HAVE to clean them every time I get out of the shower or I just dont feel right.  Even if my routine gets messed up, I can feel my ears once I sit down to do my makeup.  Gotta be done on a daily basis here

I'm in the medical field and have seen many people damage their ears and also push the wax in, causing them to lose their hearing until it's cleaned out.  I tip my ears in shower and let the water run in and my ears are perfectly clean.  You might think the no q-tips thing is silly, but it does cause problems, you just might not be aware of it!  (This happened to me.)
