On my search for some oriental candies I came across a few oriental skincare products that have really been working for me. I found this goldleaf soap and something called peach moon water at chidoriyaworld.com. First of all I have not used soap on my face in a really long time because all of the skincare experts say never use soap. However i have been using this soap and I face looks much smoother then It had been. I am guessing that this soap is a lot gentler than the supposed gentle cleanser I'd been using. The peach moon water is like a toner and it is pretty expensive but I wanted to try it and I like it alot. I have also been using some skin products that I found at asiachi.com. There are a few Komenuka products I like to-especially the cleansing powder, and this really cool face mask. Does anyone else use these products?

I haven't used them, but hopefully we can find someone who has. I know we've got many residents of Asian countries who may be familiar with the product.

No I haven't but they sound divine! I'm going to have to check out that website.

Oh, they have Japanese Hygienic Nightingale Droppings.

I have heard about this!

Ohh the Peach moon stuff, I've seen those on many Japanese cosmetics mail order catalogue and they seem to have good reviews on Japanese reviews site and magazines. I've never tried it though, but thanks for sharing this.

Ive heard about the droppings too. I am usually gung ho about trying different things but not quite sure that I am ready for this one.

I've been trying DHC products lately and I love them. www.dhccare.com

They are crazy generous with their samples (I got 11 with my first order!)

I've also been wanting to try Kose Sekkisei for my dark spots, they are another Japanese line.

I have yet to encounter a Japanese person I know with bad skin... Perhaps they know something we don't about skincare

Some differences I've noticed with Japanese skincare compared to U.S. skincare is that Japanese do not shun soap or alcohol in products. Also, masks are very popular.

As for the nightingale droppings...don't think I'll be trying that one anytime soon

Hmm haven't heard of the peach moon toner. I'll def. check out the site! I am unfortunately the 1/100 Asians who do have bad skin. If I was in Japan and ate their food daily I would be pretty slim and probably have some great skin too. I use a few Asian products, mosty from Japan. I read a lot of their magazines and always see what's out there. Recently I've been using:

Sofina's Very Very Sebum Powder

Shiseido's whitening spot treatment

Asian oil blotters haha

and some of their moisturizing masks that are basically in a package, kinda feel like clothe with nose and eye cutouts and you just put it on

also wanna try the Kose Sekkisei 'cause i have mad sun spots

interesting. i never knew they used different products. that droppings sounds nasty! karrieanne, what did you hear about it?

I agree! The diet has a lot to do with it. Also, don't feel bad, I'm asian too and have awful skin.

I read before that Asian-Americans tend to have oilier skin than Asians (probably a diet thing too). Btw, how are those whitening products working for you? I'm always looking for something to get rid of those pesky dark spots.

My husband loves DHC Eye Bright.

the whitening products work if you continue wiht it, but i get lazy and i used to forget sunscreen sometimes, so now i do less whitening spot treatment and just overall whitening mask like the dior snow, i don't think my sun spots and acne scars will go away any time soon
