Having a healthy diet and enough sleep plays a role in avoiding or reducing these problems. Allergies can cause puffy eyes, but anti histaminics help take care of that.

Dark circles can also be caused by stress, and can be inherited, in which case the only thing you can do is cover them up with makeup.

Using cold tea bags or cold spoons over your eyes can help reduce any puffiness, you can also try cornflower or chamomile water.

I have used Merle Norman products for years and have had great success. When I first began using their under the eye treatment for dark circles, I really looked like I had black eyes. Now you can barely notice any darkening.

Hugs.

First thing in the morning, I cleanse my face with Luxiva Foaming Cleanser. Next, I use Luxiva Fine Line Minimizer for my eyes and wrinkles. I then top it off with Luxiva Day Moisture Cream.

In the evening, I clean my face and eyes with Luxiva Collagen Clarifier using a make up pad. Next, to treat my dark circles under the eye, I use Luxiva Brilliant Eye Cream. Finally, I then top it all off with Luxiva Night Time Recovery Cream and off to bed.

Hope this helps.

You're absolutely right; it is a lot of work. I wish I had started at a much younger age. By waiting until I was in my fifties, I need all the help I can get. But for me, it's definitely worth it. Without my daily routine, I really look like a dried up prune.

I have also given up. Although, I've found creams that lighten the dark circles, nothing (and I mean nothing) has gotten rid of them completely. I also don't sleep well since I'm pretty much nocturnal but whatever. I've found a concealing method that finally works.

Step 1: Moisturize with a good eye cream. But not too much or your makeup will crease.

Step 2: I find my under eyes have a blueish tint to them so I use a pinky color corrector like Bobbi Brown Light Bisque corrector. Little bit just concentrated in the corner where it is more dark and blended out.

Step 3: The HG of concealers - MAC Studio Finish-NW20. Pat, pat, pat with your finger.

Step 4: Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent. I just push this on with a sponge. It adds a teeny tiny bit more coverage and sets all that makeup.

With this method, I have never had to touch up or had problems with creasing. And it covers well.
