How do i clean my straightening iron?

i have a ceramic straightener & i wanted to clean it so my hair won't be as oily as its been lately after i straighten it, i guess due to products and oil from my hair getting on it.

i was wondering, how do i clean the straightener without it damaging my hair?

it should be smooth, so you should be able to wipe it down with a wet towel, maybe a little soapy water.

Yup... or you can use a shampoo/water mix, and usually alcohol will help too.
