A beauty institute in Paris was having a sort of back to school special, with a hot stone massage included and OMG !

I looked up a bit about hot stone massage, so i knew what it was but i was really surprised how relaxing it is !

It's a massage that uses the hands of the practitioner and hot stones, the heat and the pressure of the stones helping to relax the muscles. You should get it during the colder seasons rather than summer, there is no contradiction except the heat is more beneficial when it's cold outside

The stones used in my back are about the size of an egg, oval shaped and flat, very well polished, and the heat provides great relaxation. I was all tense from the past exams i had, so i had lots of nerves to relax

You have smaller stones for the face, and the other parts of your body. Mine were really hot, but just below the point it gets uncomfortable and running them on your body diffuses the heat quickly so you feel really warm

I was only seeing black stones and i was wondering which stones they were, so i googled and apparently they're basalt stones, because they can store the heat.

Found a couple videos for you

It's a massage i really recommend you try, make sure you know how much time it lasts as the price increases with the duration.

I got my first and only hot stone massage while I was in Paris. It was at the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand hotel spa...OMG I want to go back to that glorious, relaxing massage right now!
