Do you use homemade skincare - toners, masks, scrubs, lotions; or do you prefer the store-bought ones?

Is majority of your skincare bought or homemade?

Please explain why do you prefer it?

Are, in your opinion, store-bought products better for your skin than homemade or vice versa?

I use both, homemade and store-bought products. But majority of my skincare is store-bought.

Homemade stuff I use: olive oil as a skin moisturizer and cleanser and I also use olive oil on my hair, ACV toner, occasionally I'd make a face mask or a scrub.

I also own store-bought versions of all those things :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I guess sometimes using a store bought product takes less time, and I know I'm sometimes just too lazy to mix something by myself.

Most of my products are store-bought. However, when my face is dried out from all the anti-acne products i use...i find the best moisturizing mask is honey (+ yoghurt or milk). That's probably the only homemade thing i use :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

To be honest, i'm too lazy to do it myself most of the time!

I use mainly store bought for my twice a day routine (clinique, olay and avon) but i also use some natural oils aswell. As i stay at home with the kids i tend to do my skincare first thing, but often leave it until mid morning to do my makeup so i spritz with rosewater and put almond oil on for an extra bit of moistursing pre-foundation. I find by doing this i can get away with oil free matte foundations, or mineral foundations without them effecting my dry skin.

I like using home made masks

-honey+yogurt

-honey+mashed banana

-yugurt+asprin (for pimples)

For exfoliating I sometimes use sugar.

I tried olive oil as moisturizer...I really liked it becuz it made my skin soft, but I didn't like the feel of oil on my face.

I usually buy my products. I have acne.. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> hate it, and homemade products only help to a minimum. It's finally starting to clear, which makes me happy! Anyways, I've used some masks..one with banana, honey, and lemon juice is good. They just seem more messy to me and not as effective as the store bought. But like retro said, it just depends on what it is..for me, I'd use homemade masks..but never homemade cleansers/moisturizers.
