I bought a home microdermabrasion kit, dermasponge it's called, anyway after I had used it for the first time my skin looked amazing! I have quite oily skin and no matter what primers etc I use by midmorning I usually have to reaplly my make up but after I had used dermasponge my makeup lasted all day and my skin just looked a million times better both with and without makeup. I thought I had finally found my wonder product and felt so much more confident with my great skin!
Then after a week or so I noticed that my old skin was creeping back (hard to explain I just noticed that it didn't look as good as it did and was starting to look like before) so I thought I'd try my amazing miracle kit again as it does say regular use is fine, but the second time I used it it made my skin flaky and horrible worse than it was to start with. I figured maybe I'd just used it too soon after my first treatment so I waited until my skin was back to normal (which took about 2 weeks and a lot of moisturiser) and then tried again making sure to go gently but the same thing happened again!
I don't understand how it could work so well the first time and then make my skin worse.
Has this happened to anyone else? do you think a professional microdermabrasion with a dermatologist is the way to go?
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated
