A woman at work brought in a book called "Feeding Your Face" by Carla Oates. It's a great text full of recipes for home made skin products! it was AWESOME and so I photocopied a few of the recipes so I could try them out!

here is one for home made toner that I tried tonight. I really liked it, my skin felt very smooth! This recipe makes enough for maybe 2 or 3 uses.

5 tablespoons of warm purified water (I just used tap water)

1/4 teaspoon of honey

1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

4 drops of lavender essential oil

first, dissolve the honey in the warm water. Then add the lavender oil to the apple cider vinegar, and combine the vinegar and water mixtures together. You can store it in the fridge and keep it for up to 6 months, just make sure that you shake it before use!

Thanks Rosie! I tried making my own toner using the ACV before and I liked it.

Nice and cheaper alternative way.

I'll move this to skin care forum.

Some natural recipes can be really good! I have a few books like that too. Let us know how the toner works for you, it sounds like it's gonna smell lovely. Lavender is very good for soothing the skin, so it should be a fab ingredient!

cool !! thanks Rosie ! now i just need to get my hands on the ACV, i'm sure there's a bottle hiding in the kitchen.
