i usually just wash my face three times a day or 2 and put on the mosturizer and i started using the cetaphil creme i dunno if thats whats breaking me out more now...or if its cause my face is so dry that i need to exfoliate but see i know if ill do that my face will get red and irritated and ill need to use a mosturizer after that and itll break me out...i really desperate here helpppppp :*(

Hi. First of all, welcome to mut! i'm liz from california

i know how you feel about breaking out. everyone's skin is so different, so something that's bad for someone is ok for another person.

so i would suggest going to a dermatologist first. they might know more about the effects of the hyperthyriodism.

hi..im from md ..ahh its just so fustrating girl my face has never gotten this bad i think i might have put on too much mosturizer also and it made me break out ....what should i do meanwhile i see the derm should i just leave my face alone and not wash it with anything? or wash it with water only and put mosturizer because if i dont put mosturizer it gets reallllll dry and wouldnt that cause me to break out more? or should i exfoliate to or cleanse or and if yes with what????? lol im so confused

lol..it sounds like you and I have the same skin. I went to a dermatologist and it turns out I am allergic to lots of thing which just made my skin go bazzserk! I usually stay away from anything that has any kind of fragrance to it and I try to use things that are the most gentle. I wouldn't exfoliate as that could just make things worse right now for you, but I would get a cleanser that is made for sensitive skin that is fragrance free. Ask someone at a cosmetics counter what they would recommend for very sensitive skin and be patient because it will take a while for you skin to look any better.

Hope that helps!

Hello, welcome to MUT.

Regarding to your diagnosed of hyperthyroidism, I suggest you to see a dermatologist first.

You have a very sensitive skin. They will recommend you a good skin regimen for your skin.

Good luck

Welcome to MakeupTalk! Sorry you are having trouble with your skin. My skin changed a lot too after I had my son. I agree on trying to find a cleanser that has no fragrance in it and is for a sensitive skin. Hopefully your derm will be able to suggest some products for you.

Welcome to MUT! I am Marisol from San Francisco and I look forward to getting to know you.

Buenvenidos a MUT SpanishMami! I certainly agree w/the ladies on seeing a dermatologist. Keep us posted. I'm Rosie from NYC.

Welcome to MUT. I'm Lisa from Texas.

I know the frustration you are feeling. I've struggled with the same sort of thing with my skin and tried so many different things. I agree with the girls here about seeing a derm. Other things you might want to try that have worked for me are calendula and pure aloe vera gel. You can get either or both at a health food store. They are very soothing and calming to irritated skin. Everyone's skin goes through changes at different points in our lives. Be patient and give your body time to adjust. Good luck to you and once again, welcome to MUT.
