my sister is getting acne and i told her i heard diffren (sp?) gel was good and i think somebody on here said you can get it from a website sorry i dont remeber , but have you used it? was it good?

any other brands you would really reccomend that did the job will be great thanx:icon_chee

Jenny I don't know if you can get Avene Gel cleanser ,but it's the only product that I swear it saved my life!! I had acne from the age of 6, and since I was 12 I did anything and the problem didn't solved until I tried this cleanser! I use it 10 years now and my skin is clear!!

i suffered from adult acne (never had a skin problem until 40) and i use two cleansers to help keep my skin in check. in the am murad clarifying cleanser and in the evening, to remove my makeup, aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser and stridex pad for sensitive skin to exfoliate and tone. i also added a supplement and more purified water to work on the problem inside as well as outside. hope this helps!

ummm avene? i dont think i ever heard of it, but i will def check it out thanx sweetie:icon_chee

i heard murad was really good i told her that and she might get it from sephora thanx hun:icon_chee

your welcome miss jenny. let us know what she decides to use and how it works!

If her acne is mild one, just get the treatment spot instead of cleanser/lotion etc.

She could use ACV straight for a spot treatment while waiting for the products shipped.

If it's too strong, try to diluted it with water and use it as a toner instead.

I use Acne Barrier- tea tree oil medicated spot treatment and works well for me.

Just reminds her to keep her hands off that small bump.

thank you for the advice she always touches her face which i scream at her for but im ganna tell her about that green tea thning thanx

It depends on what type of acne she has .... I have oily skin prone to clogged pores due to the oil, but do not have much of the bacteria that causes "true" acne, according to my dermatologist. Differin worked fairly well for me, but the best prescription medicine I tried was definitely Tazorac. (Differin is prescription in the US but I think some girls get it from a Canadian website or something.)

The best OTC treatment I've found is Neutrogenia On-The-Spot treatment. It contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, which is enough to get rid of (most of) my blemishes without drying out my skin. All the other BP treatments I've found in the drugstores contain 10% BP, which dries out a lot of people's skin -- even my super-oily skin! (And none of my prescription medications ever dried out my skin!)

Just be careful if you're using BP -- it can bleach fabric, so I only use it at night and sleep in old t-shirts (or skimpy sexy things, lol) and use white pillowcases!
