Hey girls I was wondering if you could help me out. I have been struggling to find a good skin care system for my very sensitive skin-water even makes my face turn red. I want to find a good cleanser that will remover oil, dirt, and my makeup. I also need a good moisturizer. My skin is pretty normal, not too oily and not too dry. I do have a problem with dry flakes on my nose. I have tried to exfoliate in the past but it never really helps with the flakes that much and I have to be careful cause of my sensitive skin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And I would love to hear what other sensitive skined girls use! Thanks so much! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i would try a gentle cleanser like mentioned above.

or you might want to try natural/organic skincare.

Def. agree about the Cetaphil.. I have sensitive skin too, it gets red if I touch it. I use Cetaphil cleanser and also the moisturizer. I get the flakes on my nose too so at night I usually put moisturizer on the part where the flakes are... even a thin, thin layer of vaseline (but this might break you out). Hope you find something that you like!

What do you girls use to remove your makeup then when you use cetaphil? My derm also recommended this and I tried it in the past, but I just felt like it did not really clean my face. And it really did not remove my makeup.

I use the generic Equate makeup remover towelettes. They work really well. I am not sure that you can use Cetaphil to remove your makeup, that might burn your eyes. Might have to read the directions. Some people use baby oil or vaseline. I have tried Vaseline, but don't really like the way my eyes feel after I use it, they feel heavy or something! Hope this helps a bit! Good luck.

with sensitive skin i wouldnt use anything other than all natural products..but i know a lot of people dont really care. i have sensitive skin and i started using organic or all natural products and it's helped a lot. the old cleansers i used would make my skin dry or break out more..i really like burts bees lettuce complexion soap and lettuce toner because it was geared towards sensitive skin and i liked the way my face felt squeaky clean after using. burts bees also has some good moisturizers if you check out their site.

not sure if this is the way you want to go though. but im sure it wouldnt make your skin iritated like other cleansers would that have really bad stuff in them. (just about any drugstore brand)

I have the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, it's way too gentle for my skin and doesn't remove more than half of my foundation, but it works good on my eye makeup and I no longer have to cry from my mascara burning (it happens a lot :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

So if your face doesn't need much more than a simple cleanser, go for it. Maybe try Neutrogena?

Definitely, natural botanical based cleanser are much better for sensitive skin like mine. I am using the naturalis acne cleanser , scrub and masque to manage my oily skin.

I agree with the more natural route. I don't know what your budget is but Neiman Marcus has a line called Chantecaille that is very botanically based. Many lines might be only a fraction botanical but their's is VERY botanical and created for the most sensitive skin. I went to their website (Neiman Marcus web site) and they have a Flower Infused Cleansing Milk that is 95% botanical and very gentle. HOWEVER, it is much more expensive than Cetefil at $52 a bottle but I guess that we all have priorities. I buy the other cleanser at $48 and it lasts 3 times longer than the cleanser that I used to use.

Has anyone else heard of or ever used this line???

Peace out Peeps!:rockwoot:
