Help with fine hair

I have fine long hair,and need something that will give me volume.I can't surl my hair it goes flat in 5 min.I'm thinking about maybe getting my hair cut.

I had long hair too up to my butt. it was difficult to get volume into it, after i cut it, it was no problem. i liked the change:

Layers help... you can keep length, but the shorter sections will give it a boost

I'm thinking about getting it cut short,and layer so that way when i want to curl it I'll be able to wrap the roller around my hair.Thanks for the help.
