Hi Ladies/girls. awhile back someone asked about lip gloss or something for very dry lips....and one of the products listed was LaRoche-Posay (Ceralip...Lip repair cream)...didn't someone say where it can be bought? Was it from a dermatologist? Must you have a prescription for it? If it is from a dermo dr. is there a listing by states where I might find out who is handling it?

If anyone out there reading this has tried it, Could you please let me know if it worked. My dry lips are related to the meds I take.

Thanks.

and Happy Easter to all who observe the holiday.

Hi,

Have you tried lip balms by either Carmex or Kiehl's. This would be a temporary solution until you can find the LaRoche-Posay (Ceralip...Lip repair cream) products.

Kiehl's lip balm and Aquaphor are excellent for dry lips. I bet they are cheaper than the LaRoche Posay stuff too.

I have tried the Aquaphor....it's good for about 10 min. and then I am back where I was. Can't get a hold of any Kiehl's around this place.

Thanks.

Yes, I have also tried the Carmex, Kiehl's I can't find around here.

I remember someone posted on here about the Ceralip, and I want to try that. I do remember her saying that it can be found from a dermatologist....and I printed her post out, but can't find it ....I am desperate.

Thank you for replying.

hmmm...I don't know regarding Ceralip...but I do use Bobbi Brown's lip balm and is great for dry dehydrated lips..it really keeps my lips soft..so I can wear my fav lipgloss or lipstick..It is kinda pricey..but it goes a long way.

Have you tried exfoliating your lips. You should remove the dead skin on your lips just as you do your facial skin. Some folks massage their lips lightly ever so often with a dry soft toothbrush for exfoliation. I don't have a problem with this because I love Carmex blam, which contains salicylic acid. Removal of dry dead skin also improves the performance of l/s & l/g. Also drink plenty of water.

The others have given some good suggestions, but since your dry lips are not just "oh, a little dry" but have severe dryness, I don't think I can give you enough help here.

Avon's lip conditioner has worked wonders for me. I don't usually buy Avon products, but I love this. I have dry lips, due to braces, and this has helped me. It's always in my purse! This might be of help to you.
