I hate it when my skin gets irritated!! I just kept applying nivea, cetaphil, or neosporin to those dry places. However, what seemed to help the most, is him using nivea sensitive skin after shave balm. My skin doesn't get that much irritated anymore.

You might want to try exfoliating before you shave, make sure you use a nice shaving cream, and then soothing lotion after. Let us know when you find something that works!!

However those tips may help your bf ... is he using a blade and shaving cream, or an electric razor? Hubby has been using an electric lately because he's lazy, but he was much smoother when he used the blade!

I'm pretty sure he uses shaving cream - I might get him the nivea after shave balm - though knowing him he wouldn't use it (or would leave it at home) - going to an all boys boarding school tends to make the straight guys go to great pains to prove their masculinity i.e. no lotions and potions hehe - I'll ask nicely tho

hehe - I pretty much force the poor boy to shave under an hour before I go near him - it just seems to grow back too quickly lol - might try the bribing idea lol

a neat little tip that was passed to me by by another camper who ran out of shaving cream, her hubby in pinch used herbal essence conditioner, and it worked so good that is all he uses now, it has sylaic (sp) acid in it , which is and effoliant. and the conditioners keep the skin soft. i tried it on my bikini area, and for the price you cant beat it. the other products would probably work better and faster though, oh and their is oil i cant remember the name, lollipop might be able to get it for you cause i think i seen it on one of her post, but it helps retard hair growth. darn i wish i could remember the name of it, i will post if i think of it.

My boyfriend had stubble all the time and i would come home with such a burn on my face, i used aloe vera gel and proactive moisturizer, it worked well for me....the burn and rash litterally went away over night.

Okay, you guys are going to think this is really gross, especially considering where you're putting it, but try using Gynecort. It's fragrance free and contains cortizone. I learned this little trick from watching Oprah a couple years ago when I was home with the flu. A woman was using it for something on her face and it worked wonders for her!
