soooo, I have naturally sandy/dark blonde hair, that I sporadically dye dark brown/dark auburn and have done since I was 11.

I want to dye the under half of my hair blue. like a bright, bright blue.

I know I need to bleach it somehow, can you guys tell me what I need to do and what products you recommend?

I order products from sallys beauty like the lightning powder and 30 developer (40 can be harsh) and its good enough for a couple bleaches

some good blue hair are Jerome Russell punky color and n rage (you can also get at sallys ) its the color in my pic on here

loreal also has a nice bleach kit

if you need to know anything about other good color brands lemme know ive been doing my own hair for a long time

I heard that if you dye your hair dark brown or black that you have to remove the color before you bleach it.

I recently went through all this with my own hair. I had blonde streaks bleached into my hair and the only thing that would bleach is the roots. The rest lightened to a light brown but would not bleach out completely.

After that I came home and bleached more streaks myself using 30 volume developer and the quick blue bleach. Worked pretty good. I used the same thing to bleach my husband mohawk. He has bright blue to green hair now. lol

Hopefully someone knows more than I do and can help with some information.

I tried Punky Color in a pinkish color (rose maybe) and that stuff lasted forever!! It said semi permanent but it was pretty permanent to me!!
