Ok I have a question for my sister. What can you use for Dry scalp for a adult and a child that's 1 and 1/2. They both have dry scalp and she needs something that would be effective yet safe for her son. Any help and ideas would be appreciated!!

head and shoulders is fine for kids too

but in general she should be sure she's rinsing out the shampoo really really well and NOT using a 2 in 1 shampoo ........both these things can cause dry scalp!!!

I used to have a problem with dry scalp/dandruff, and I think the only thing that truly worked for me was to grow out of it. Nizoral is a shampoo with 1% ketoconazole that I found to be effective when paired with a shampoo that had salicylic acid, such as Neutrogena T-Sal. When I was going out and needed assurance that I wasn't going to have any flakes, I applied a liberal dose of this L'Occitane shea butter deep conditioning mask and rubbed it into my scalp. However, I don't see it on the sephora website anymore (wtf?) so I guess it's a good thing I don't need to use it anymore...=/

Well, I'm not sure honestly about the child. I have a two year old who won't keep still, and has a hard time with Johnson & Johnson shampoo! As for the adult, have you tried a hot oil treatment?
