Help! Blackhead city!

Hi, everyone

I'm new, so please bear with me! My major skin issue is blackheads on and around the nose. I've read a lot of the product reviews but there's just so much info there. I want to hear about products that have worked for you to eliminate or reduce blackheads. I'm not big on scrubs as the particles get into my hairline and nose, so I usually use a scrub mitt and my normal cleanser. I like the idea of toners and masks. I also don't have a regular skin care regimen at all. Don't know if this has anything to do with it. Thanks!

I don't find it to be drying, at all, and I have hyper sensitive skin. My face feels very clean and much softer after using it. Yes, it has definitely helped me. :smilehappyyes: I've been using it for about six months now.

Have you tried those papers that you stick to your face and pull off for blackheads.

Thank you so much for the links. It seems glycolic acid is the way to go. I was just at my local drugstore but they didn't have the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Treatment Mask. I'll try another store. I see Neutrogena also make a pore minimizing toner with glycolic acid. I'm going to have to go with drugstore brands as I can't afford the more expensive stuff, plus some of the brands don't ship to Canada. Guess it's just a matter of finding what works for me. The treatment mask is very difficult to find. I also use the Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel. Oh, and the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque is rather cheap, and it's a great product, too. Good luck! Please let us know what works for you.

I'm also using glycolic acid for blakcheads stuff, it works great!

If you have oily skin, you might want to try using clay mask for pores cleansing at least twice a week too.

I was having a problem with blackheads around my nose. I started using Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle. It's 12 percent glycolic acid. I think that's the strongest you can get without a prescription. I get it at Walgreens for around $10.00. I think KMart sells it as well. Quite often there's a coupon inside the box for another two or three dollars off. It keeps my pores cleaned out and I seldom have any blackheads now. Whatever you decide to use good luck!:icon_smil
