I got a Brazillian waxed today and now I have bruises! My skin is really red, swollen and it burns. The lady who waxed my pubic area said that it will go away by tomorrow but I doubt it. Is there a way to speed up the healing process? Please help! Thank you so much!

good luck and i hope you heal soon!

ouch. I've had similiar problems. I'm not sure how to fix it, I would suggest ice, but do some research before your next wax. I found using the green tea trea oil wax worked best for me. They apply a thick layer to your skin, it quickly hardens, then they peel it off - no papers required.

I PUT ICE CUBE ON ITTTTTTTTTTTTT! LOL! It just numb the pain o_O I hope I won't get an infection. I put on cortizone cream ... and it BURN 1000x more! If it doesn't get better by tomorrow I'll try aloe vera. I can't put anything warm on it b/c it will burn.

Thank you for your replies.

Best of luck sweetie! How badly did it hurt? I know Andi made it sound tremendously painful!

I'm sorry you're in so much pain! It's amazing what we go through just to look good! lol

I don't really have any tips for fast healing, but I hope you feel better soon. If you're not better by tomorrow I would call the salon that did the brazilian and ask them for recommendations to help with the pain and redness.

For next time, take an aspirin or an ibuprofin. That sometimes help to keep the pain at bay, and also helps prevent bruising (not sure why, though).

sorry to hear about your experience...i know the first time i got a brazilian it was sore but not the way you describe it. I have read in some places to put a Hydrocortisone cream on (do some more research) but Hydrocortisone creams are anti-inflammatory. Aloe Vera might help too, eventually once it has healed you'll want to use a light exfoliating glove to prevent ingrowns. good luck...

What us girls do to get a nice bikini area?

I'm gonna stick to razor bumps and a prickly bikini line lol. Hope it heals up soon!!! x

You might try some Benadryl..it will help with redness and swelling...and try Solarcaine or something simular with Lidocaine in it..it will numb the pain a whole lot...

Maybe you should take a couple of Tequila shots? LOL. Sorry you're in so much pain. I have been debating for 2 yrs whether or not to get one and so far "DO NOT GET ONE" is winning the votes. Hope you feel better soon.

when i first did mine the same thing happened, but never since, so it will probably be better next time. i used some cream especially for bruises that we had at home, im sure you can buy something like it in the pharmacy. it did help alot, i cant remember the name though unfortunately, it was years ago.
