Hey everyone! I keep reading about the Braun Silk Epil and am curious to know what you all think about it. I'm really tempted to try it but wanted some honest opions before I do. Thanks in advance for helping me with this decision.

I jus recently purchased a Philips epilator, over a Braun one. With the Philips, the tweezers were regularly placed all over the head, whereas the Braun one had them randomly dotted around the head. I don't think it was the Silk Epil, but i think all of them have the same principle design. My sister has a Braun one, works fine for her. I really like mine too, which has a rubber massaging piece that vibrates against the skin to eliminate or lessen the feeling of hairs yanking out. They both do the job well, and are the most popular around. Just a matter of personal preference, what attachments you would like and how you prefer the pain to be minimised ... although i ultimately went for mine because it's pink, hehe!

Hi Hinna. Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. I'll take a look at the Philips one too. :icon_bigg

My friend has talked me into purchasing the bran silk epil. I love it alot!. Simple to use and it plucks very well. I would recommend it to anyone. Beats shaving and plucking with a tweezer.

I have Braun Silk Epil... Am liking it. But at times it "plucks" my skin and broke it.

Hey Arinna,

Yes, if you don't use it properly it does damage your skin. What you need to do is when u are shaving you need to stretch your skin so that it will be easier to shave.

I've used it about 3-4 times on my legs and arpits and its really painful and defenitely ingrown hairs appeared. Also it tends to pinch the skin. Not nice. :-( I think waxing is a much better option. :icon_bigg
