i was wondering about this brand, a friend of mine really raves about them. i need to buy a good moisturizer with spf etc.. has anyone tried this brand?

i have tried there products but only at college when i would have a facial. i cant exactly remember what i thought of them because i never used them much, but all my mates started using the brand after giving and using facials and would go on about how its the best products ever.

Hi cottoncandy!

Yes, I have used Dermalogica. Heck, I've used practically everything.

I bought a kit about 6 years ago from a facialist who used that line . It is big in California. I personally did not like it. Way too harsh for my skin. I have very sensitive combination skin. It just seemed to irritate my face, plus the fact is the stuff is not cheap. I went back to the facialist, who also sold Decelor.

I bought some Decelor, and I must say, I actually perferred the Decelor. Before I went chemical free, I used to love the facial cleansing milk by Decelor. It is not cheap either, but it did not irritate my skin so much. Here in Europe, Decelor is everywhere. If you want to try Dermalogica, is there a way you could somehow get a hold of a sample-maybe direct from the company if a facialist seems reluctant-that you could try out before you shell out the money for the kit or products?

That sometimes has worked for me in the past. Saved tons of money on stuff I would have ended up throwing out anyway.

I hear some good things about it, but haven`t try anything myself tho. But i`m thinking of trying the dermalogica daily microfoliant, cuz that`s the thing i hear/read much great things about. If i have enough $ i will buy it and let you know! :icon_bigg

I'm a long-time fan of Dermalogica(10 or more years.) Regularly, I use their Skin Refining Masque, Skin Hydrating Masque, Essential Cleansing Solution, and Daily Resurfacer--an exfoliater w/alpha &beta hydroxy acids that are left on skin during day or overnight to gently exfolioate w/ no redness or irritation--an excellent product!! Oh and I also use their Skin Renewal Booster--a hydroxy acid concentrate exfoliater that stimulates cell renewal--well so it says, but it definitely makes my pores seem less visible and skin texture look much better overall. I think this is a wonderful skin care line--if you wanted to try a few products you might start with one of their daily cleansers, and their masques are also excellent---and I would most highly recomend their Daily Resurfacer or Skin Renewal Booster, if you want really super, and gentle, exfoliation. Two sites which list all their products are Skinstore.com, and Dermalogica.com (I have a few of their facial moisturizers too, including 2 undereye; they are not bad but in my opinion you can do a lot better elsewhere.)

i tried many of their products and used them in my services. a great product line. my only draw back with this line is the product selection for acne prone skin.

I forgot--as if my post weren't long enough!--but I also really do like their sunscreens, in particular their Protective Self Tan SPF 15. It's a self tanner, tinted so that it's super easy to apply, very natural looking--the best self tanner that I've ever used (I've tried around a dozen of them.)

Sorry for the double post!

this is one of my favorite brands i use the anti bac face wash and the daily microfoilent they arent cheap but it takes a long time to run out of the product

I really like Dermalogica's products, especially for sensitive skin. A great place to buy them online is faceetc.com. Their prices are discounted and the minimum order for free shipping is relatively low, compared with other sites. Plus, if you live outside of TX, there's no tax. For me, it's cheaper to buy online and have them shipped than to buy in a salon or spa around here.

I talked my mom into spending $130 on Dermalogica stuff for me over the summer. WHAT A WASTE! I got the daily microfolient, anti-bac cleanser, and dermal clay cleanser. I used them for a couple months and nothing. Absolutely nothing. My skin did not improve one bit. It didn't get worse, but never again would I (or have my mother) spend that much money. I've settled on my castor and olive oil. Much much cheaper and much more effective.

have been hooked on this brand for 2 years before i decided to change..

3 years ago, on a holiday, i woke up one day with pimple-like rashes on my face (all over, like a terrible disease or something), totally freaked out, and went for my usual salon for facial, unfortunately they were closed on that day, so the salon next door happened to be Dermalogica..went and had my facial and bought the skincare starter set for sensitive skin and used it faithfully..after 5 days, all the rashes disappeared and they didn't leave any marks at all!!!

yippeee!!so so happy and form then on, bought the biggest bottle from the cleanser, moisturiser , mask and everything...but then after 2 years, felt that it didn't imporve my skin anymore (which was stupid cause they say it's maintaining your skin) so switched to another brand..

will perhaps start over with Dermalogica, one day..

hope the review helps! and it's better to buy the starter set, so at least u can use it first before spending more money on their products..in Malaysia, they're actually expensive!cheers

I have been using this brand for about 3 years. I love the products. I have tried other products but this has been the best for my combo skin.

i use many of their products in my services. i used the skin refining mask on myself recently and was super happy with the results. i may start to incorporate more of their products into my regime in the future. they've really beefed up their products for acne-prone skin. very nice!

My sister buys every infomercial product that airs so of course she got this too. What a let down. Said it was thick gloppy and pasty. Sent it back

I have been curious about Dermalogica too, but I am really liking BIotherm. Dermologica is pretty expensive too.

i've used the oil control lotion under my makeup for two days now (thanks for the rec ladies!). i know it's too early to really tell what's happening, but i must say i like the result so far. still have a bit of oily shine that needs to be blotted, but nothing like what i normally have to mop us at this time of the day. i still used my regular moisturizer over this product in spots that seem alittle too dry and on my eyelids. after tomorrow, if i still have not breakouts, i'm making it my daytime moisturizer. i'll keep you posted!
