It is pretty aggressive, but there are some people who have great results and I just wanted to see if anyone on this board has used this? TIA!

i have. they used to sell the obagi line at the salon/spa i worked at. for me personally all of the obagi products i tried burnt my skin soooo bad. my skin would turn bright red and my skin started peeling because it was burnt so bad from it. i talked to a girl @ my work about it and she was like "oh that is normal at first, stick through it!" so i did for maybe another week and then it was like, enough is enough! my skin looked awful. but you know, all skin is different, it could work for you~! it is def strong stuff though.

I use Jan Marini now, for cleanser and spot treatment anyway, it's another line they sold at the salon/spa i used to work at. and i am in love with Jan Marini stuff :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks for trying everyone. I am going to try it. It is aggressive but the results are supposed to be great. I hope I can stick with it, but I am going to try a mild approach. I tried Jan Marini C-esta but it did not do anything for me. I do love the smell of it though! If you can't use the ascorbic acid, this is a different type of C product to try.

I use obagi and I love it. I am currently using it with out the retin a portion, well because I dont need it. It is an agressive treatment as it is exfoliating the top damaged skin and revealing what we havent jacked up yet. I didnt have issues with the peeling so much, but my sister did, so she used the action, which is like a hydrocortersone cream. lI am currently in my maintainance phase, while I rarely have acne break outs, i am still batteling a bit of hyperpigmentation.

my friend used obagi and it made her skin turn bright read and she did a lot of pealing and it was expensive. she quite after i think like 2 months bc she was starting to look like a beet and didnt even want to go outside anymore

I tried it for 3 months. I must have tough skin like a lizzard because I used the whole line, plus the highest strength Retin A and I never peeled or anything. (I was using higher % AHA than the Obagi before I started, so maybe that is why). I quit also, because I don't believe one should use Hydroquinone (4% in the Blender) for any longer than 3 months at a time. For those interested in the JM eyelash stuff, go over to the EDS spa forum, under skin care product reviews and there is a long post of very happy people using this stuff!

What's in the Obagi line that burns so much? I've heard of this products but never used them.

I think the burning is the hydroquinone (4%0, probably. I use Obagi and you burn like a freaking candle for a while, but it does get better--you can just break into it more slowly, i use it twice a week, tops, but I use the retin A every other day. I know older women who SWEAR by it! They love it and it's funny, they can spot you from a mile away from the flaky stuff and the redness. They're always sympathetic and encouraging, though.

I tried Obagi a couple of years ago, with the Retin A.

Did it work? Well...yes, and no. The products were good, I liked the texture, and they moisturized well. But basically, I went through a month or two of just awful, red, peeling, gross skin.

When it was done, my skin looked FANTASTIC...for about three months. But, every time I had a glass of wine, my face would turn bright red! It's been years since I've used Obagi, but I still have a little of that red-face effect. Also, when I started Obagi, I had normal/oily skin, but now it's *dry instead. Honestly, I'd rather have my oily skin back.

However, when they did the UV scan of my face after the treatment, the sun damaged parts did vanish. So that's good, I guess. I wouldn't do it again, though--I don't think it did me any favors in the long run.
