A couple of weeks ago I had my shoulder length hair cut, she blunt cut the ends, point cut the layers, slightly angled the sides from jawbone down and blended my long bangs into the rest of my hair - okay - my hair is wavy, color-treated, frizzy - I flat iron it straight, but within a hour or so the back (just the back of my hair) starts to flip out & up - is this because of the point cut layers? Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I love the way it looks right after I style it (looks razored, but without the razor, my hair hates the razor - layers swing & fall right back into place)...maybe it the summer humidity???

Any ideas????

TIA

It's most likely just from the natural wave pattern of your hair. I would go over the ends with a ceramic round barelled brush, and dry the ends under... then set with a quick mist of light hold hairspray

I have the same problem! One reason I hate about my hair is when I flat iron it out, it flips out (the ends) when I'm trying to make it go straight down.

This happens a lot with layered cuts. It's not really from the cut itself, just that if your hair is all one length, its heavier, and will usually pull straighter. Once you cut off some weight, you might see more of the natural wave come through.
