Hellooooo,

So I've always had hair trouble, but even after my radical attempts of fixing it.. I'm still having problems.

Around 7 months ago, I decided to embrace my inner hippie and try to stop washing my hair. Now I only wash my hair once per week, with lush hair bar. I ditched blow drying, straightening, and I always let my hair free. However, my hair is still super dry, and my scalp is itchy. Any solutions? I have a good diet, drink 2 L of water everyday, and exercise.

Also, any ideas on hair styles? I haven't gotten a hair cut in 1 year (yaaay college)

I think your hair style looks pretty! I wonder if the Lushbar is making your scalp too try. Maybe your scalp is somehow reacting to it. You might want to add a conditioned when washing and only apply it to the ends and rinse out to keep the ends healthy, although they look really healthy in the picture. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20"> My hairdresser always recommends biotin to keep hair healthy. I've bought it before but forget to take it regularly so I can't say for sure if it helps. I've also found that if I use natural shampoo and conditioner or a really high end ones, my scalp reacts less than using some other shampoos. Sometimes it's hard to find the right shampoo for you scalp/hair.

Do you think it's possible that your scalp is drying out because it's understimulated?  One of my hairdressers swore that was why mine gets dry (I never brush it and used to air dry all of the time).  That being said, I have the same problems now that I'm using the hair dryer more frequently.  I wash with head and shoulders, and do a deep conditioning with coconut oil and tea tree oil (making sure I really rub it into the scalp and my ends) every couple of weeks.  That 100% works for me, but the second I stop, it's dry scalp city.

Oh and like Reija said, your hair looks very healthy and pretty!

I agree with the others, your hair is pretty as is. I think experimenting with different braid style could be fun too. I've been liking smaller ones towards the front of my head, although that's mainly because I like my hair out of my face.

Agree with the others - your hair is pretty as it is and nicoleleighbeauty's suggestion of experimenting with a different braid type might be fun.

I would look into using a hair repair system.  Mine is Pro Naturals. I started using it in December 2014 and continue now following their suggested regime of one week in every six weeks and for the other 5 weeks I use my Australian Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner.  But I use the Pro Naturals argan oil leave in treatment after every shampoo day mainly as a protectant against heat styling tools. Works well for me.

natural bath oils
The use of natural oils to massage the hair is the oldest natural way to gloss and smoothness of hair . You can use olive oil , coconut oil or almond oil or a mixture of these oils together . Heated national oil and a little Astkhaddmiha to massage your scalp . Then leave for an hour covered with a plastic head cover and towel dampened with hot water . Then rinse hair with shampoo as usual .

Olive oil of the most favorite oils to strengthen the roots of the hair and prevent breakage , preferably left on the scalp after Tdena throughout the night to get the best results.

Hi... :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Garlic is likewise useful for your hair:  Pound a couple of cloves of garlic, and in include coconut oil. Furthermore, bubble for a couple of minutes, when this blend chills off to feel warm to the touch, apply it on the scalp with a bit of kneading action.do this treatment a few times each week for best results.
