Is there a brand/type of color that REALLY conditions hair...doesn't harm it at all? I have gotten pretty sun-bleached over the summer and would like to go back to a med brown with carmel highlites but don't want to do any damage.

Also...what about henna? I was just reading some stuff about it...they say it conditions and makes hair shinier

I used to use Garnier Nutrisse, and found that it doesn't do as much damage as a lot of other box dyes can. You can't avoid just a little damage, though... since you are, after all, messing with the hair's chemical structure and all that. Since you're darkening it, it shouldn't be too bad. I think bleaching wrecks your hair more than going darker, but don't quote me on that. I've never tried henna, but have heard it can make your hair kind of icky. I'm no expert, though. There'll probably be someone along with some more helpful advice soon, I'm sure... haha. Good luck!
