So this morning I dyed my own hair for the first time using a Demi-Permanent dye. It actually turned out really well...except for in the dying process I turned my scalp red. I have short punky hair so it's kind of hard to hide. Anyway, will washing alone solve the problem is there anything else I can do? Also while I'm asking, how the heck do you apply dye to short hair without getting it on the scalp?

One last question - is it okay to wash it tomorrow afternoon?

Thanks

Speaking for myself... you can't. I get it on my scalp and I just wash it out with shampoo. It usually is gone by the morning shower if I dye my hair at night. If I try to avoid my scalp, I'd have a lovely blonde border to my coloured hair.

Lol...I would always recommend getting it done profesionally.

Mainly because I suck at working on my own hair, working in a salon its not hard for me to just get someone to do my hair.

Actually, I recently got this ITEC graduate in to fill in for our stylist and she's amazing!

She knows what colours and styles suit people perfectly and she just gets on with her work. Maybe you should see if there are any ITEC graduates in your area. Not going to lie to you guys, her work is just better than my other hairdressers'.
