If you tell your stylist that you only want 3 inches off, then they should only cut THREE inches. If they don't know how to measure, then just physically take your hair and show her how much you want off. If you hair is split, the only want to get rid of it, is to cut it off. Sealing them with silicones or other products is just a temporary fix, and usually doesn't work that well. :icon_wink

Hey, i cant see any icons or pics in your post.. Just all red X's. Am i the only one?

tell them what YOU want. i dont know what your hair looks like, i dont know how short or long it is now. and, if they cut off too much, hair grows back anyways =]

You're right Breathless! You have to communicate with your stylist. They cut inches as INCHES... as if you were to take out a ruler and measure. There are even combs that are numbered on the end like a ruler. So you're idea of what an inch is might be a little off from a REAL inch... so you want to check that what you say... is really what you want and expect. The better communication you have with your stylist, the happier you'll be (and less surprised) with the result.

And Lau, I dont see the icons either. (But hovering over the thread it linked them to another *Ginger* site lol - so maybe it's from the block?) ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
