I want to color my hair. It costs like $70 to get a full head of highlights at the salon and a few highlights start at $30. I can either get a few highlights or I can use a box coloring kit. I dont want to spent $70 on my hair right now. Im a poor college student! haha.

The highlights are almost out of my hair so here is a pic of what my hair color is:

I am really liking this color on Ashlee Simpson: http://www.shout.ru/news/ashlee_simpson.jpg

Maybe a golden blonde? Buy L'Oreal Preference Haircolor, Golden Blonde 8G Online at drugstore.com

or

Buy Clairol Hydrience Haircolor, Sunrise 004 Online at drugstore.com

or Buy L'Oreal Feria Haircolor, Pure Diamond 100 Online at drugstore.com

Any opinions?? What color do you think would look good on me?

Thanks!

If you are doing highlights, I would have them professionally done. They just don't turn out as well if you do them yourself.

Do you have a friend or a family member that does hair?? I would suggest getting someone who knows what they're doing to help you. Cause it's hard to color your hair sometimes and get it the way you want. Because you don't get hair like the model on the box. It all depends on the color of your hair before you start and the color you're trying to get to. And everyones hair takes color differently. For example if you went with a golden blonde you could end up brassy or reddish tint because even if you don't have any red in your hair, colors with a gold base will pull red in a lot of people's hair. Well anyway if you wanna do it yourself I would recommend going to Sally and getting a recommendation there instead of using the box kits at wal-mart.

Definitely don't do them yourself if you don't have alot of experience with doing hair... it can be disasterous.
