Hair color crayon sticks

Hi,

I was just watching HSN and Michael diCesare was on TV with a hair color crayon stick for covering gray hairs and if your hair is thinning he says it can be camouflaged with the stick. I have thing hair

and was wondering if anyone uses Michael's or anyone else’s coloring sticks for covering up thinning hair spots. I would appreciate any input on the matter.

I've known people to use them to cover grays... but I haven't seen it done about thinning hair. I guess it would work the same.
