Hair add ons

Hey gals, I bought a hairpiece that has a small comb at the top and one at the bottom, also has a drawstring. The problem is I cant seem to attach it right. I put my hair in a ponytail then tried to put the clips on the top and bottom of the tail, It just seems to push the hairpiece out too much. Any suggestions how to arrange my own hair so that the piece/combs fit securely aroung my own hair. It is kind of a bob/ponytail piece. Thanks!!!

Does it help if you make a french twist type of style first?? Sometimes it'll help it lay a little flatter. Or, put your hair in a lower ponytail... put the piece just above it, and blend the 2 together

I never even thought of a french twist

[Just place your regular hair in a tight bun with bobby pins and attach the hair and pull the drawstring.

Thats what I did to help my friend's lay better... a bun stuck out too much, and she has thick hair, so a pony wasn't good either. The twist kept it tightly on her head and pretty flat
